Hello there!
We’re Vanessa, Angelique, Gabrielle and Vivien.
Between us, we’re building the service we wish we’d had when we became mothers – a space to access specialist maternal mental health support, when you need to and for how long you need to.
What started as a small collective of perinatal psychotherapists sharing insights, resources and referrals from Vanessa’s home in Cambridge has since turned into the UK’s first platform delivering online therapy and support groups for soon-to-be and new parents.
As opposed to other, larger therapy providers, we go all in on our specialism – covering the full breadth of the parenthood experience: from deciding whether to have (more) children, to fertility struggles, loss and pregnancy, all the way through into the postnatal and early years phase.
We continuously update our approach to reflect the latest and best research, and we use the feedback we receive from our clients to hone our collective therapeutic skill. This way, we make sure that, when you book with us, you’re accessing clued up, modern care – not obsolete programmes from decades ago.
We’re biased, but if you’re wondering if you’ve found the right people to support your mental health through parenthood, we think you have.
We've had Press!
Here are our most recent features:
The UK's first on-demand mental health service for new parents
We are the UK’s first online service offering on demand 1:1 and couples counselling, as well as free peer support groups for new parents (we centre mums, but we support dads and co-parents too!).
Here, you can book online sessions as and when you need and speak to a qualified perinatal psychotherapist within 48 hours. We specialise in everything from fertility issues to pregnancy anxiety, through to birth trauma (even if it’s been years), postnatal depression and relationship changes.
If you’re unsure if therapy is for you, we offer free 15 minute consultations for new clients. If you’d like to book one or have any other questions, get in touch below and one of our lovely team will get back to you as soon as possible.
What we stand for
Every mum we speak to feels overwhelmed. Gabor Maté calls it “intensive mothering” – the result of a breakdown of community, and the rising pressure to perform and protect in an insecure and unstable world. There’s a deep disconnect between society and the reality of what it takes to have and raise a child. It is more than the sleepless nights or the hormones (though, yes, those too) – it’s the emotional load, the constant decisions, the loneliness. The quiet grief for the life you’ve led before, and the guilt for feeling that way.
Mothering Minds is a space to talk honestly about those parts of motherhood. We provide talk therapy, peer support and resources rooted in compassion, evidence-based care, and community. We’re here to validate, empower, and gently guide — not to judge or “fix.” Whatever you’re feeling, there’s room for it here.
Our hope
That every mother – and every parent – can feel held, seen, and supported through one of the biggest transitions of their life.
Thanks for stopping by. We’re so glad you found us.
