About Us

Want to know a little more about us?

Why we're here

Mothering Minds exists because before us, there was no go-to place for maternal and parental mental health support in the UK.

Every year, hundreds of thousands of expecting and new parents across the country need help with their mental health.

Most never get any: their struggles are minimised and dismissed (by themselves or others), or they end up stuck on months-long waitlists, if they meet thresholds for help at all.

We know because we’ve been there – and we’re changing things by offering quick access to 1:1 and couples therapy, no matter your “level” of struggle.

Who we are

You won’t find big investment companies or obscure shareholders behind the scenes here: Instead, Mothering Minds is run by a small team of women working hard to create an amazing service that benefits both the people receiving, and those delivering therapy through us. Click on our pictures to find out how we do that.

Our Therapists

We screen and interview every single therapist we allow into our network to ensure they meet the highest standards for perinatal psychotherapy. Each of our therapists has:

Our Approach

We make getting mental health support for the journey into parenthood as easy as possible.

When you book in with us, we take everything you tell us in your intake form (and your consultation, if you have one),  to match you with a therapist who suits your needs – no endless scrolling profiles, no decision paralysis.

Your therapist then schedules your assessment with you: A structured 50 minute session to thoroughly explore your needs and requirements, and decide on the right therapeutic approach for you.

After that, you can start sessions – and stay with us for as long as you like.

We’re biased, but if you’re wondering if you’ve found the right people to support your mental health through parenthood, we think you have.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

"I have a history of anxiety and OCD, but when I got pregnant, things really ramped up. I had a huge fear of childbirth, and I struggled to sleep because of anxious and intrusive thoughts. I'm so glad I started working with Hannah - she was so insightful, and helped me work through my fears to the point of actually being able to get to sleep again in my third trimester."
