Who Will You See?

At Mothering Minds, fit matters. Our team is made up of qualified psychotherapists who specialise in matrescence and the perinatal period. Every therapist on our platform is hand-vetted, registered with an accredited professional body, and a parent.
We use the information you provide when you book your assessment to match you with a therapist whose expertise and schedule align with your needs - so by the time you arrive at your first session, the groundwork for a good therapeutic relationship is already in place.
And if the fit isn't right, you can easily request a rematch at any point.
Testimonials
"I spent eight months convincing myself I didn't need help. When I finally booked my assessment, my therapist made me feel like my experience made complete sense. That alone was worth it."
Stephanie
"I felt that Sarah listened to what I was communicating and let me have space to work through my thoughts and concerns, and was also supportive and caring."
Claire
After a couple of miscarriages, I found myself incredibly anxious during my last pregnancy. The assessment made me feel hopeful about being able to enjoy it more.“

FAQs
No. You can self-refer directly. There’s no waiting list for an assessment and no requirement to have a formal diagnosis.
You can access private therapy alongside an NHS referral. Many of our clients start with us while waiting for NHS provision — there’s no conflict or contradiction in doing both.
Not at all and in fact – how wonderful if you aren’t. Our community is here for you no matter how you experience the shifts of becoming a mother — whether you’re facing emotional challenges or simply want tools and a community to grow with.
You will hear from your therapist within 48 hours of your booking and assessment slots are typically available within 5–7 days of booking.
Our one to one clinical assessments are priced at £120. Therapy sessions cost £90 pay as you go, £260 for a bundle of three and £500 for a bundle of six.
That’s absolutely fine. The assessment stands alone — there’s no obligation to commit to ongoing sessions afterwards.
Yes. Everything you share is confidential. The only exceptions are standard safeguarding situations — your therapist will explain these clearly at the start of your first session, and they apply very rarely.
If you’re unsure, simply book a free 15-minute call and talk it through with a member of the team before committing.
